Product Description
The talented Rebecca “Fireplug” Nelson is teaching the art of Flag Dancing, Hoop Dancing, and Circus Poi for beginners every Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.
The class will be designed to introduce all three art forms within each hour. Note that "circus poi" (also known as "sock poi") should not be confused with the ancient Maori Tribe of New Zealand poi rituals. Rather, this is a contemporary form of the traditional Maori dance, and features decorative balls which are held in the hands and swung in circular patterns around the body. It is now enjoyed worldwide as a hobby, exercise, or art form, and increases dexterity, coordination, flexibility, and strength.
Each of Rebecca’s classes build upon prior classes. When the course is finished, you will have a solid foundation in each of these arts.
Single, pay-as-you-go classes: $15; Four pre-paid classes: $12 each; Eight prepaid: $10 each.
Private group or solo instruction also available.
