MISCELLANEOUS Choreographies

Because there are literally THOUSANDS of Polynesian dance routines available, and more being written every day, there would never be enough space to list them ALL. Thus, we have only set out a few examples of the most requested on the choreographies page.

If you would like us to write a custom choreography for a particular song, please contact us by email to the attention of Vikilani, and indicate whether you need directions for a solo, duet, or the exact number of dancers participating.

If your request is for a well-known song or drumming pattern from the Societies, Cooks, or Hawaii, the fee is normally $8.00 regardless of the number of pages. For more obscure, lesser known, ancient, ceremonial, or highly-specialized dances, the fees may be considerably more depending on the complications of explanation, skill, translation, research, and time involved.

Dance directions for other island cousins within the Polynesian Triangle (and its close neighbors) may also be more expensive, but not necessarily.

If we cannot find your song/dance routine request in our archives, or the members of our troupe do not know the song for which you are requesting the choreography, we may be able to put you in direct contact with one of our Hawaiian kumus or one of the indigenous dance masters from other South Seas islands to assist you, but no guarantees. In that case, the fee arrangement would be between you and the expert. Be forewarned that some songs, dances, and chants may be considered so sacred that the natives would not allow you to purchase choreography directions at any price.
