Introduction to Indonesian Dance

Originating in the Minangkabau culture of Indonesia, this booklet describes how to perform the lovely, skillful Sumatra Candle Plate Dance, "Tari Piring Sadang Lawas".

Directions on a variety of unique arm and wrist rotations and swiveling techniques, plate balancing and tapping rhythms, fire safety, traditional costuming, and a simplified starter choreography of this unique dance.
