An introduction to the culture, customs, traditions, and dances from two areas of Melanesia -- the Republic of Fiji and the Solomon Islands.

Overviews of village dances, tourist dances, supernatural dances, and costumes. Includes simplified dance routines typically performed by males (and fearless females) for a wild and crazy volcano dance "Tabu" from the Solomons, and the popular "Fan Dance" (Mesi Wesi) from Fiji.
