Beginner-Level Israeli Dance Routines

This booklet briefly discusses the history of Israel, Biblical references to help define ancient dance movements, an overview of indigenous musical instruments, traditional crafts for special holidays, and an outline of the Hebrew alphabet.

Rudimentary steps for beginner dance students are set out, along with three simplified Israeli choreographies for the ever-popular "Hora", "Mayim Mayim", and "Erev Ba" routines.

Also includes an overview of informal, contemporary, and Yemenite traditional performance costumes.
