El Son de la Negra Choreography Instructions and Demo

This set includes the intermediate-level Mexican dance instruction booklet, "Ballet Folklorico", that sets out the choreography for the popular "El Son de la Negra" routine for two females, and a DVD demonstration of the written routine.

Because of the long, voluminous skirt traditionally worn by female dancers performing La Negra, the footwork described in the instructions cannot be seen. Thus, for practical purposes the DVD illustrates the routine presented by a male/female duet to enable you to see the steps and percussion techniques of the feet, which are basically the same for either gender.
